Ms Florence KO is the Chief Geotechnical Engineer of the Geotechnical Engineering Office, Civil Engineering and Development Department and has over 20 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, mainly responsible for the planning and geotechnical control of private and public works, regulatory control of conveyance and use of explosives, management of consultants and contractors for slope upgrading projects and formulation of technical policies and standards, in particular in relation to landslide risk management in Hong Kong. She currently oversees the policy matters and their implementation related to slope design, consultant and contractor management and landslide investigation under the Landslip Prevention and Mitigation Programme.
